Astrology is an important part of a Wiccan lifestyle and living a daily magical life.
It is my firm belief that knowing general astrology would help us all understand other people better.
Knowledge of astrology might help you know how to deal with your child, your father, your husband, or boss better IF you know how to best approach that person.
As a Magical correspondence:
the moon changes the astrological sign it is in every few days.
Since the Moon is significant in magic so is too the sign it is in.
Each sign is unique and has it's own personal vibration that will influence your magic.
Wiccans usually know the sign that the Moon is in everyday AND how it affects them!
I've often found that many Wiccan books do not give offer you the basics of Sun Sign Astrology only the magical correspondence.
In my opinion, the more knowledge of how and why you perform a spell a certain way - will improve the chances for success.
Below you will find some basic Astrological Sun Sign characteristics.
It's been kept fairly general because Astrology is a very vast subject.
Included are celebrity names that may help you learn easier by association.
I've also defined the magical vibrations for each sign.
**ARIES ~ March 21 - April 19
Aries is the sign of the Ram.
The Ram implies great strength and courage and the ability to climb to great heights.

The planet Venus rules Taurus therefore they are quite attracted to beauty and luxury, especially concerning their possessions (material things or people).
Taureans are very generous people and they are very creative.
The Earth element that rules them can make them somewhat of a slow mover, but it is that slow and steady pace that keeps them on the right track.
They like to take their time on making decisions and believe that this aids them in making good investments, whether in a Financial or romantic situation.
The bull tends to be quite private, and more of a listener; therefore others can get frustrated with the lack of Communication.

Gemini is a person that needs freedom and space.
This sign can also despise stagnation of any kind, and thrives for circulation and movement.
Gemini people are full of new ideas and are able to present them well.
