When seeking love many people tend to look outward.
They do not realize that there is a powerful aspect they are forgetting.
As we watch the news, lok at magzines and the peopl ein the lime light:
we are often made to feel inadiquite and ungly
We are to fat/big.
Our nose is too big
We do not were the most sylish cloths
The list is endless as to what society can find wrong with us.
This presents a problem.
If there is so mcuh wrong with us how can any one love us.
The reality is so much kinder than the critics often are
We are who we were ment to be
We are loving, carig supporting individuals who d onot fit the mold set by society
A mold that tends to change on a whim and is always unrealistic.
This is actually very easy to say. However, as a 5'3" female that weights over 200 lbs it is alot harder to live.
As a matter of fact it took 30 years and one wonderful child to drive the point home.
Before we can seek and obtain love from others we must seek and obtain love from ourselves
THe process and act of falling in love with yourself can be a wonderful experience.
While the idea may be perceived as conceited or selfish, it is a powerful act of self-love.
It is a very personal process that takes time.
There is no magic wand you can wave to make this just happen.
There is the magic of your intention and the power of your actions
whether you are taking the time to do activities you like
speaking to and treating yourself with respect
taking inventory of all your wonderful qualities and accomplishments
or nurturing yourself with plenty of rest and self-care.
The benifits are unmeasurable
You experience a wonderful sense of discovery.
Begin to look at yourself again through fresh eyes
Become more attentive to the little details that make you so unique.
treat yourself as lovingly and respectfully as you would treat anyone who is special to you.
You start to give to yourself more because you become more attentive to your own needs and desires.
you begin to see yourself more positively
appreciate your unique outlook on life
treat yourself in a more nurturing way
you are acknowledging that you are special and deserving of love.
You are giving yourself one of the greatest gifts you have to give another: The gift of your love.
